Job Description

We are seeking an Armed Safety Officer - Active / Retired Law Enforcement to become an integral part of a local house of worship and a preschool. The selected individual will patrol and secure assigned premises as well as identify risks to staff and patrons. This role is dedicated to ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for our community, staff, and families. This is a long-term position.

Responsibilities:

• Patrol and secure premises during school, services, and community events.
• Control access points, monitor entrances/exits, and verify visitors.
• Respond swiftly to suspicious activity, disturbances, or safety hazards.
• Work closely with community leadership and law enforcement partners.
• Maintain clear, professional communication and detailed incident reporting.

Pay:

• Starting at $35/hour

Qualifications:

• Active or retired law enforcement (must maintain LE qualification).
• Current NC Armed Security Guard certification required.
• Experience in law enforcement, security, or investigations.
• Licensed Private Investigators - Advantage.
• Familiarity with security equipment and technology.
• Strong communication and de-escalation skills.
• Professional, reliable, and punctual.
