Job Description:

SERVE GOD AND COUNTRY AS A U.S. ARMY CHAPLAIN

You answered God's call in your current ministry serving your local community; now discover a new mission by serving our nation as an active duty Chaplain. As a U.S. Army Chaplain, you'll be a preacher, teacher, counselor, and Soldier. You'll serve the spiritual needs of our Soldiers, their dependents, and DoD Civilians. Our Three Core Competencies are to Nurture the Living, Care for the Wounded, and Honor the Fallen. As the professional military religious advisor and leader, you will advise Commanders and provide pastoral care, spiritual guidance, and religious support to the Army Family. ***Commissioning into the U.S. Army Chaplain Corps as an Officer is required for this position***

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education Requirements:
    • A baccalaureate degree of not less than 120 semester hours from an accredited university.
    • Possess a graduate theological degree of at least 72 semester hours from an accredited seminary.
  • No older than 41 years old at the time of selection (waivable on a case-by-case basis).
  • Must be a U.S. citizen (birth or naturalized).


EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 2 Years of post-seminary experience (waivable on a case-by-case basis).
